Green Ducks is an EFL exercise and activity website designed with beginning to intermediate English language learners in mind. The exercises fit the needs of my students here in the United Arab Emirates, so there are quite a few grammar and vocabulary exercises that focus on accuracy.

I attempt to make the content as authentic as possible, while still allowing lower level students access. The content varies with text on academic topics, like technology and globalization; on topics students are interested, like Indian Actors or Arab musicians; and on topics that I am interested in, like history, poetry and culture. I either write the content or adapt it from websites like www.wikipedia.org or www.gulfnews.com.

I wrote the code for most of the exercises, with the exceptions being the flash-based vocabulary and spelling exercises which I am using thanks to Frank McAree at www.spellmaster.com.
